De jonge bisschop Wu Junwei overleden te China

Op 10 mei 2022 stierf Wu Junwei plotseling op 58-jarige leeftijd.

Wu Junwei is op 21 september 2010 in de kathedraal van Xinjiang (Yuncheng) gewijd tot bisschop van het bisdom van de provincie Shanxi, Noord-China. Hij is geboren op 27 juni 1963 in Xiliulin Village, Liujiabao Township, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City. Wu Junwei is de oudste van zes broers en zussen in het gezin Jungwei. Een broer en een zus van de bisschop zijn priester resp. religieus. De pelgrims van de Mgr. Schravenreis in 2017 hebben Wu Junwei ontmoet in zijn bisdom.

Een verhaal bij een foto

Bij het selecteren van de foto’s ten behoeve van de biografie van bisschop Frans Schraven (1873-1937) trof dr. Jan Jacobs in het Brievenboek van Bisschop Frans Schraven 1894-1937 dat Vincent Hermans in september 2007 publiceerde, een foto aan waarop van links naar rechts Leo Hoefnagels, Frans Geurts en Frans Schraven zitten.
